The first day of school is Tuesday, August 15. Parent orientation is Monday, August 14 at 5:30 p.m.
Bolivar R-1 Schools will host Open Enrollment and Centralized Registration in August.
For families NEW to the district, Open Enrollment is Monday, July 31 through Friday, Aug. 4 at Central Office. 524 W. Madison. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Families will come to Central Office to prove residency and receive standardized district enrollment packet; then will go onto buildings to complete enrollment.
Centralized Registration is 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8 at Bolivar High School, 1401 N. Hwy D. These dates are for:
During Centralized Registration, The Polk County Health Department will be present to administer the meningococcal and Tdap vaccine to those students who still need it for enrollment compliance. Miles for Smiles will be present to accept applications for treatment.

Documents Accepted for Proof of Residency

Bolivar Schools, Polk County Health Department and several area churches and organizations will once again provide lunches for children ages 0-18 July 5-28. The program, “Lil Ji’s” will provide a free, nutritious lunch to anyone who visits one of several community distribution points. The distribution centers will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Bolivar United Methodist Church, Division and Main
Countryside Assembly, 2921 Morrisville Road
Cribbs Family Youth Park, 309 S. Clark
The program is funded by a grant through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and is named after Jianna Halbrook, the Bolivar student whose vision to feed those around her helped create the program.
